Welcome to TEMPLE BETH EL

Shalom !

Temple Beth El is the spiritual home of the Jewish community of Battle Creek, Michigan. Our building serves as a home for our worship, life cycle events, community socials,  holiday celebrations, meetings, and study.

Our spiritual leader is Cantor Larry Charson.

Please come and join us in Shabbat  worship, study, songs and prayer.

  Shalom L'Hitrah-Ot !

  Our activities include:

* Worship services on Shabbat, High Holy days, and Festivals. Our worship is in English and Hebrew, with music and singing integral parts of our observance.

* A regular bulletin to keep members informed of our plans, activities, and concerns, along with news of congregants and their families.

* Cultural events such as Purim and Channukah celebrations, guest speakers, or performers.

* Support for members in preparing for life events including Brit Milahs, Namings, Consecrations, B'nai Mitzvot, Confirmations, Marriages, and Funerals.

* Religious school for children of congregants to encourage children to learn Hebrew, history, ethics, and customs of our people. This is done in cooperation with Temple B'nai Israel of Kalamazoo.

* Pastoral services for individual study and counseling on spiritual matters.

* Representation of and advocacy for the interests of the Jewish Community in local matters.

* Opportunities, for those choosing Judaism, to associate with our congregation to enrich their spiritual search.

* Study to enable ourselves to become enriched by Jewish history, practice, customs, music, the Hebrew language, prayer, and study of the teachings of the Torah.
